Or is it? As soon as it becomes 12:01 am, November 1st, the Christmas switch turns on for many of us. Often stores will begin selling endless Christmas decorations before Halloween is even over! People will then decorate their houses as if completely skipping Thanksgiving, and proceeding to the more important holiday, in my opinion. Christmas trees are up during Thanksgiving family gatherings and lights are hung even before that. I love driving through developments at night to see all the houses lit up with Christmas lights, especially the ones that dance! Another factor counting towards an early Christmas is the ultimate Christmas music radio station, 105.7 FM. They begin promoting a holly jolly Christmas spirit the day after Halloween every year! I very much enjoy early Christmas music and decoration, but I know some out there absolutely despise it. What's your opinion? Do you mind the early jingle bells and stockings along the chimney? I feel that I have never met someone who didn’t have a strong opinion on this, so everyone should express themselves and their beliefs about this very important holiday! I also believe that you don’t need to be religious to celebrate Christmas. I am not a religious person, but I still love Christmas more than anything else, especially for the family time and the movies!! What do you celebrate Christmas for, if you do at all? Is it due to your religion? Or just the common tradition of our society? Christmas is my favorite time of the year and always will be.
