The Sound of Music

Music has always been a big part of the world, changing over time with various styles. Although music is not what it once was, it still brings people together and puts meaning into everyone’s lives in their own way.
No matter the kind of music you like or the artists you like, there is something for everyone. The reason I love listening to music is for the meaning of the lyrics and the way certain songs make me feel. Music has so much power that it can even save lives. Music helps create the words you’re feeling but are too afraid to say out loud.
I’m always open to discovering new music, some of my favorite artists are the ones who haven’t been fully discovered by the world. The lesser known artists are just as good as the well known people such as Beyonce or Twenty One Pilots, they just haven’t been fully introduced to everyone yet.
My favorite artist, SoMo, is finally gaining a larger following. He started on YouTube, covering famous songs and adding his own style to them. Now, SoMo goes on tour and has two mixtapes titled My Life and the sequel My Life II. He also has a self titled album and his newest album titled The Answers. His music consists of R&B merged with pop soul. All of his songs are written by himself and long term fans know that they all have special meaning about his life. SoMo uses his music to tell his life’s story, something that I admire about him.
I recently came across Kyle, a hip hop artist. He is now known for the song I Spy featuring Lil Yachty but I first heard Just a Picture featuring Kehlani. Kyle has also collaborated with other artists such as G-Eazy and Chance the Rapper. My favorite thing about Kyle is the happy vibe he gives off in every song. All of his music is upbeat and fast, perfect music to make any day better.
Knowing that there are so many wonderful artists in the world, I wanted to share two of my favorite lesser known ones. With all the new music and artists coming into the industry, it’s hard to give them all the credit they deserve.
