The Celebrity Connection

Celebrities seem to have taken over social media by storm. By being in the spotlight, everything they do is shared by everyone. Most teens have a certain celebrity that they look up to and love. Whether they are an athlete, movie star, or singer, celebrities influence our lives in many ways.
On every social media platform, fan pages can be found for almost anyone and anything. Fan pages are a great way for fans to connect and share their love for a mutual celebrity. Some fan pages even share updates and new pictures to allow everyone to stay in touch with their celebrities daily.
In my case, Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead are the stars I look up to. They both have the power to make me happy in a way no one else can. I know from my own experience that celebrities can be inspirations for people, they can even save lives.
I have my own fan page for both Norman and Jeffrey where I share daily pictures of them. Through my fan pages, I have connected with people similar to me and have even become close friends with some of them. By posting about Norman, it has also connected me to him. He has liked two of my posts and I used my page to share about the times I met him.
Celebrities have so much power to connect people and even help them through tough times. While it  might seem pointless to like someone famous, you can’t deny having a celebrity crush at some point. Some people might take it farther than others but that’s only because they have a bigger impact on different people.
